Tokuguku (黑子國 Tson'ši'guku), officially "Empire of Tokuguku" (previously known as the Republic of Tokuguku) (黑子帝國 Tson'ši'tsum'guku) and abbreviated as TKG is a country that is located within the entirety of the Tungusic Region between Mongolia and the East Sea. It borders the Chinese Empire and Tsonshi-Sanjiazi on the west and the Republic of Korea in the south. The nation's capital and most populous city is Tsonshi City. The most developed areas are Mukden Province and Tsonshi Province.

Tsonshiguku (黑子國) (lit. meaning black child kingdom) has it's roots from the Wanûju period but the creation of the name still goes unknown to this day on why it was called so. But some speculate it has to do with the Amur/Sahaliyan/Tsonukan river that it gives life to it's surroundings like the birth of children. Or the amount of Squids spawning in the lake of Tsonshi City would make them think this place was the birthplace of black children (black squids).

Tokuguku (樂國) is the shorter alternative to Tsonshiguku, natively used as an adjective. It was used in english due to the fact the European chiefs at the UN had difficult time trying to write down Tsonshiguku on the representative seats of the UN council, thus the Tsenkaan instead used the alternative name, later an abbreviation was also created that was TKG.

Pre-Toku Era[edit]

During this time there were two villages Ilan Boo (Now called: Ianbo) and Tatar that were built by foreign people. In Ilan Boo there were four simple box houses, a small walled house with a courtyard and next to it was a small pond area with a pavillion in the middle. This village was built by Ukihoroa. Tatar was a village with a dark theme, blackstone roofs and spruce walls.

This was also when the Historical Manchu Road was built by Datchisan.

Early Tsonshiguku to Classical Tsonshiguku[edit]

Genshim (Origin) Period[edit]

Two players by the name of Malung and Shrek--- were to first start out in mid-2021 at the same place as Tsonshi City is located. Building small housings and farms around the lake of Tsonshi City. Most things were not written down during this time, so much information about the early history of Tsonshiguku has been forgotten.

After a week or less a great canal was built connecting the lake to the sea of Japan, this would be great for farms but would also mark the start of a split. Since Malung and Shrek would sometimes get upset over different opinions regarding decisions, Malung had an idea to move Shrek to the east side of the canal so he could do his own project of there. and after a while an agreement was signed that Malung gets the west of the canal and river Usuri, Sahaliyan, and Shrek aquires the east side of that.

Inkaan (Two Kings) Period[edit]

After the separation of the two players, two kingdoms formed from that. But the relations between the West and East was quite great, cooperation held many times, as if it was one nation with two kings. But the ideals of building stod in the way. Malung would build traditional housings and such, meanwhile Shrek built more fantasy-based builds. An example was his idea of having a massive room with a man-made sky and portal room, something that Malung would deem extreme and innapropiate for realistic roleplay.

In the east resource extraction and efficiency was more important than in the west, at the point the economical development of the east was way ahead than west. This made Malung anxious as that would give the east more power, so in an agreement both sides would share the income and resources.

During the end of the middle of 2021, economic progress was skyrocketing because of Shrek’s hard work. Many trades were made with exchange of beacons. An estimate of 30-40 beacons were held in the treasury.

During the later Classical era Shrek started to hire many players to remove the whole of East Tsonshi's mountain face, this was his plan of that man-made sky. It took several days to remove the massive amounts of stone and dirt.

Shrek suddently vanished thus making his projects unifinished to this day, and it would mark the end of the Classical Era.

Feudal Tsonshiguku[edit]

Yūjumuku (Peaceful) Period[edit]

After the dissapearance of Shrek, Malung would reunite the two kingdoms into what would be called Tsonshiguku. During time conquests into the west and north were happening thus for the first time contacting with the Chinese and Korean people. The creation of early Toku Culture started also, such as the first usage of Tokuguo language in the courtyard of the King.

A road system was built during this time, the first road connecting the capital city Yūjuši-ji (now named Tsonshi City) to Korea. A road going from Yūjuši to the Historical Manchu Road was built later. The creation of Halbin started around early-2022.

But after a while, spanning over several months Malung would not do much in Tsonshiguku, thus giving the name peaceful period.

Gikirin (Golden Spirit) Period[edit]

At the mid of 2022 Two players by the name of Jospel and Elluinnit14 joined Tsonshiguku, at this point activity skyrocketed, massive agricultural and road developments took place during this period, Towns around the southern areas of Tsonshichiguku started popping up such as Mukden and Bohai.

The capital city Yūjuši would change the name to Tsonshi City (Tsonši-tēji) since it reflected the abundance of squids of the lake in Tsonshi City.

The Kirin Wheat Valley and Great Mukden Fields was constructed by Jospel under the governing of the Tsenkaan. Which the Great Mukden Fields caused the creation of the first administrative divisions within Tsonshiguku. Other administration creations such the Provincial and State farm system were established. Mukden Province would become the second most developed area of Tsonshiguku because of the flat land. Jospel was made Kaan of Mukden Province in August of 2022 because of his work in the area, but that also meant he would make his way to become one of the most powerful men of Tsonshiguku.

At the beginning of September the Council and High-court system, Provincial taxes was established. First international state trade was established between Tsonshiguku and the Kuchean Empire. A small conflict occured between Tsonshiguku and Yaunmosir after a bridge was built between Sahaliyan and Hokkaido, it caused the destruction of that bridge which it's ruins still stand today.

In 2022-09-18 The Tsonshi invasion of China occured, setting the first step into Tsonshiguku's territorial expansion into foreign lands. Before the war started the Tsonshi Pact was formed and relations with the Kuchean Empire and Macan Empire was great. This war caused the creation of the Military of Tsonshiguku, that Jospel would be the leading contributer to it.

During late october of 2022 the owner of the village of Ianbo Laenin removed the roads nearby of the Hinggan Special Province without notice. Barrels containing the road materials and a sign saying; "Sorry. I just had to remove the road here. It was a real eyesore. Connect the town to the road will require more planning". Laenin would also start planning on developing the town of Ianbo, but it didn't end in any progress. This also caused a sort of administration crisis in the High-Court council of Tsonshiguku. Which in 2022-10-31 lead to the independence of the Indigeous State of Sanjiazi. In later weeks administration would decay in the Northern Provinces creating a sort of "wilderness" there. but it still stayed a part of Tsonshiguku.

Most events happened during this period and also the one period that would shape how Tsonshiguku would look for it's time. This period would be called Gikirin (Eng. Golden Spirit) because this time it resembled a Golden Period

Late Feudal Period[edit]

A long term isolationist and inactivity period would occur from september to January. That ended with new state projects of chinese roads and other small developments. In 2023-01-23 a road going from Luoyang to the Shandong Special Province, 2023-01-26 a Road going south to He Clique from Beijing and late January west to the Silk Road were constructed. Road quality reports were first made in 2023-01-29. In 2023-02-15 a new sign was introduced to the sign system of Tsonshiguku's road systen, this included welcomes signs to each Province and District.

In the beginning of February a player by the name of NickMoJAVA leader of Liechtenstein had recently declared independece from Germany, the Emperor of Tsonshiguku had positive views on this event, only to discover his warmongering ideals towards Tsonshiguku and other nations. NickMoJAVA said they were jokes, but they seemed somewhat real. Because of the war tension between the nations and Liechtenstein Danubia joined the Tsonshi Pact. During the same month a small unofficial federation was made between the Northern Provinces but didn't last much time after the the declaration of the Republic.

During February the military suggested the introduction of automatic farms which marked the beginning of the Toku Industrial Revolution, but really no actual automatic farms were made.

On the 12th of March the Military of Tokuguku suggested to annex rest of He Clique, unifying the two Chinas. After a long period of time of planning an ultimatum was sent and on the 24th of March the Emperor of the He Clique accepted, meaning there was no battle. He Clique would be annexed into Tsonshi-China and the Mandate of Heaven was to be given to the Tsenkaan (Emperor) of Tsonshiguku.

Near the end of the feudal era the military suggested a change in government in order to make it easier for the economy to grow. This meant the Emperor had to sign a declaration that a new democratic state would rule Tokuguku.

Pre-Modern Tokuguku[edit]

Republican Period[edit]

On the 4th of April the Emperor signed the creation of the Republic of Tokuguku after many requests from the Military High Command. With this two parties were made; the royalists and the republicans. But shortly after the republicans were elected, the royalist party got disbanded days after.

Mount Zemtengaki or Paektusan erupted on the 15th May resulting in minor damages around the areas caused by the lavacasting, by this point Zemteng has seen substancial increase in size.

On the 22th of May, the newly found state of the Tribes of Yakutia was vassalised by the Tokugukuan government after a request was made by the Toku Military High Command the day before. Thus forming the state of Toku-Yakutia. After this a small change of names were also made Tsonshi-Sanjiazi was renamed to Toku-Ilanboo because it was easier to correlate it to it's lord state, and replaced the Chinese name "Sanjiazi" to it's original Manchu name "Ilanboo".

Imperial Period[edit]

On the 27th of September, the Emperor of Tokuguku assumed power over the nation and the government rapidly dissolved, as democracy was deemed too slow or inactive according to the Emperor. On the same day the nation changed names from "Republic of Tokuguku" "黑子共民國" to "Empire of Tokuguku" "黑子帝國". This event would mark the end of the Republican Period.

Right after declaring change in politics, the satellite state Toku-Ilanboo was annexed. As a result land in the north were also annexed. The new borders were drawn over the Northern Border River covering parts that weren't protected by the Tungusic Region.

On the 29th of September The state of Canton declared independence from the Chinese Empire, however the Emperor did not care as from this point he would considerably start caring less and less about his Chinese Empire.

The time between September up until the start of 2024 was quite inactive, however diplomatic letters were sent between the nation and the Byzantine Empire which later in the 21th of October they agreed on building embassies in each country.

Another case of autonomy occurred in Toku-Yakutia after the leader "Trey" officially stated "The Sakha (Yakuts) declare independance from the Empire of Tsonshiguku (Tokuguku)" in the UN. This occured in the 26th of November, however it is unlikely that the any actions were made for the independence since Tokuguku still ruled over Toku-Yakutia.

Government and Politics[edit]

Tokuguku is an absolute monarchy with Malung as Emperor, however there are minor advisory councils.

Tokuguku used to be a parliamentary republic during the republican era. During that time there was a supreme council where mandates discussed the nation's matters. Parties were formed and citizens got to vote what party should rule the government by every month. The largest party and leading party was the Republican Party which were mostly military personell and reformists during the creation of the Republican Era. Many of the mandates of parliament were representatives from their own province. When a party won an election the party leaders would become the president. Ministers, provincial leaders and district leaders were appointed by the supreme council by voting. There were three ministers. Minister of Military, Minister of Interior and Minister of Culture.

Foreign Relations[edit]

Tokuguku is the alliance leader of the Tsonshi Pact, which was formed before the start of the Chinese War. Because of this Tsonshiguku has close relations with the Kuchean Empire and Macan Empire.

Tokuguku has a rather small armies containing around 3 soldiers, but citizens are to be able to be conscripted during wartime which increase this number to 5 and up. But Tsonshiguku lacked in actual in-game warfare, as most of the recent wars really saw no actual battles.

Tokuguku's Military was comprised of three branches TPA (Tsonshi People's Army), TIA (Tsonshi Imperial Army) and TMHC (Tsonshi Military High Command).

Tsonshiguku is a developed country with a mixed economy with many transactions, imports and exports handled by the government. Agriculture and Industries (in Halbin) have a big role in the economy. Also the Coś in the resource world maintains the base building materials for the Empire such as Stone and cobblestone.

South of Tokuguku remained mostly homogenous being the Toku Culture the dominant in the lands stretching from Mukden to the Tungus Province. And in the Northern Provinces it was more multicultural, having Manchu, Even and other Jurchen/Tungusic ethnic groups.

Toku Culture originated from the land near Tsonshi City, and later spread west and north. But the Toku culture would later become partially sinicized which was more prelevant in Mukden Province.

While English is still mostly used in Tokuguku, languages like Manchu are also used in areas around Halbin and Mukden Province, while other smaller Tungusic languages are spread out in the north. Tokuguo is a constructed language that is also used in naming certain places. In the urban areas of Halbin a distrinctive language is sometimes used, which has it's roots in Western-Slavic languages (see: Halbin Regional Language.).
